Keys to Success
I have recently seen numerous people encouraging others to pursue success by making as much money as they can, as fast as they can, so they can retire as young as they can, and do whatever they want. Several of these advisors retired in their 30’s after acquiring anywhere from 1 million to several million dollars worth of assets. Is that really true success? Not according to God’s word.
Proverb’s 19 tells us that there are two keys to achieving a life that flourishes, prospers, has abundance, and results in complete satisfaction.
Key 1 : Proverbs 19:8 (TPT)
Do yourself a favour and love wisdom. Learn all you can, then watch your life flourish and prosper!
Key 2: Proverbs 19:23 (TPT)
When you live a life of abandoned love, surrendered before the awe of God, here’s what you will experience: Abundant life. Continual protection. And complete satisfaction!
It makes sense doesn’t it! If we focus first on acquiring God’s wisdom, and then make it our goal to live our lives to honour Him, then He will guide us, lead us, protect us, and bless us with the financial resources He wants us to manage on His behalf. What a beautiful formula for life!
Our goal is not to retire young. Rather our goal should be to work as long as we can doing what He made us to do, what He calls us to do. If He gives us more financial resources than we need, then we give generously beyond our normal tithing to help others and build God’s work.
